Holes 2 and 11 This hole brings you back up the hill. At only 268 yards, a good drive once again leaves an easy pitch to the plateau green . This is a hole that often "flatters to deceive".
Holes 3 and Hole 12 This is a long one shot par three of 215 yards, calling for an accurate shot, as we have Dyehouse Lane to our right as a Boundary, and Moorhouse's field to our left waiting for any hook shot. The front of the green is open and an accurate shot will reap good rewards.
Holes 4 and 13 The first of the valley holes. A 175 yard par three to a well guarded green. A hooked shot here will disappear into Sisters Wood to the left of the green. No trouble for the good shot.
Holes 5 and 14 The most interesting hole, being 364 yards par four, with trouble all the way for anything but the straight shot. The beck to the left must be carried from the tee because the fairway doglegs to the left. Even the most carefully placed shot may be caught by the Sycamore tree in the centre of the fairway. Four small bunkers guard the entry to a tricky green.
Holes 6 and 15 This is 425 yards long par four. A good drive uphill will leave a long approach shot to a very narrow well bunkered green.
Holes 7 and 16 This short par three of 146 yards, is the last of the short holes and calls for the dropping shot to a green at the foot of the slope. The green is bounded on three sides by the beck, leaving little margin for error.
Holes 8 and 17 A 404 yards par 4 which is frought with danger, with the beck to the left hand side and the sixth fairway to the right. There is no great amount of space in between for short drives. The beck which winds along the left hand side of the fairway, will catch any ball moving in that direction. The green offers a grand target for the bold second shot.
Holes 9 and 18 This par four 409 yard hole takes the player back to the Clubhouse. It is a testing and adventurous hole, requiring two full shots and a little more for most people. The possibilities of disaster are considerable. From the tee in the valley, a blind shot is played uphill ,over the brow onto the plateau. There is a ravine along the left ready to welcome anything in the way of a hook. The plateau green, set into the slope is guarded by a bunker to the right.
